Ferrovial Ash Cloud Video
In case you’re wondering, that’s the name of the Icelandic volcano that caused havoc across northern Europe in 2010. Spanish transport giant Ferrovial commissioned a piece for use at their AGM that portrayed the magnitude of the disruption caused to UK and European airports but also showcased the amazing efforts made by employees across the organisation to help the millions of stranded travellers.
The video treatment combined reportage and library footage, from sources such as Reuters and ITN, with original footage shot on site at Heathrow Airport – it was an eerie experience seeing T5 empty on a Tuesday afternoon. Ending with a salute to the hard work and dedication of employees from all walks of life, the sequence was a great motivator for senior management.
Oh, by the way. Two of us can now pronounce the name of “that volcano”.
“ Fantastic! Really fantastic. ”
